Rain harvesting systems, including rain barrels, need not clash with your outdoor living environment. Our wide range of colors and sizes helps make sure that your rain barrels will fit in with your overall home and landscape design, and our two series of water harvesting barrels let you find a configuration that fits both your home and your budget.

We offer attractive, well-engineered, cost-effective water harvesting tanks Our rain barrel tops are child/animal resistant and include a mosquito-proof strainer to prevent insect problems and help inhibit debris from entering the tank; this helps reduce the need for cleaning that may result from intrusion of organic matter into the tank. All fittings are spin-welded to ensure the most rugged and durable construction possible. All our barrels are constructed of food-grade polyethylene to ensure that the water coming out of the barrel is the same water that went in. We offer 13 colors in both speckled and non-speckled styles, and our Agua Fria line is also available with four premium color choices.

Agua Fria

This is the top-of-the line rain barrel manufactured by Desert Plastics. Its thicker walls provide the greatest durability and allow for inclusion of a bucket-height spigot in addition to the drain valve at the bottom of the barrel. The Agua Fria can be purchased with both internal and external overflows. Available top styles include the bowl top for downspouts or canale top (pie-shaped or polka-dot pattern). Desert Plastics provides a limited warranty for this barrel (for warranty service and inquiries, please contact the manufacturer). In addition to the standard and speckled solid colors, the Agua Fria is available in 4 premium colors: Sandstone, Millstone, White Granite, and Pink Granite.

Cubo

The Cubo line is Desert Plastics' mid-range barrel. It is manufactured with an internal overflow, ball-style bottom drain, and the canale top (pie-shaped or polka dot pattern). It is available in both the standard and speckled colors. Bowl tops and bucket-height spigots are not available in the Cubo line.

Peso

The Peso line is the most economical of the Desert Plastics rain barrels. Equipped with a fixed top, ball-style bottom drain, and external overflow, the Peso is a useful and attractive means of collecting water.

Nino

The Nino is a smaller, specialty barrel intended for downspout applications. It is generally square-shaped, with a slight upward taper to allow for cost-effective shipping in quantity. The Nino is especially well-suited to small-garden applications where space is at a premium and multiple purposes are desired. It is equipped with an internal overflow, ball-style bottom drain, and removable top. An optional planter tray is also available for this line of barrels.

Top Styles

Bowl-and-strainer tops are available for the Agua Fria line only. Canale tops - pie-shaped or polka dot patterns - are available for the Agua Fria and Cubo lines. The Peso is made with a fixed, polka-dot patterned top.
